Last night Ignatieff urged Canadians to RISE UP!, referencing Bruce Springteen. I suggest the next song should be WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT! by Twisted Sister. On May 2nd, let's show we won't take anti-democratic government anymore!

I have never seen a leader beg for supporters to "rise up." He had to say it over and over, until a Liberal finally rose up. Where is the joy on their faces?
ReplyDeleteAlthough NDP do not have to beg like that, Jack gets the party faithful when he enters the room to "rise up" and cheer. Perhaps we will be the next "official opposition" party and our leader will be PM if there is a minority in stead of a Liberal.
It must be great to be able to vote in this election ... remember if you do not vote you can not complain.
I have been at a Liberal rally and he didn't need to tell us to rise up and cheer. I think they were just a bit slow because it was so unexpected.
ReplyDeletePoint taken, yet they seemed to slow - very bad optics.

ReplyDeleteYeah! We should vote to be able to complain!
ReplyDeleteWhat you're saying is completely true. I know that everybody must say the same thing, but I just think that you put it in a way that everyone can understand. I'm sure you'll reach so many people with what you've got to say.
